Height Gain and Distance : 2805 Feet and 7.5 Miles

We guide this route a few times a year and make use of the Rhyd Ddu path on the Three peaks Challenge events that we deliver too – this is because the Rhyd Ddu path is quiet, parking is ample and walking it feels like a right and proper mountain day other than a visit to a theme park.

The path is easy to follow, has little in the way of difficulty (be aware of the narrow section towards the summit) and takes you through stunning landscape that you’ll have all to yourself.

Leave some time to explore the old slate workings at the foot of Yr Arran before finishing u pfor the day.
